About the Event
Yoga for Athletes is geared toward students who participate in competitive sports, 9th grade and up. It is an active recovery practice that connects slow intentional breathing with movement to challenge participants. We will focus on stretching and strengthening injury prone areas such as: shoulders, hips, ankles, knees and wrists.
This weekly class is a great complement to any training regimen, and a great way to improve flexibility, while building strength. Yoga is an excellent way to stretch tired muscles and increase flexibility, focus and balance – all of which contribute to injury prevention and improved athletic performance. No previous yoga experience is necessary- just a willingness to try.
Participants should bring water and their own yoga mat. Sign up for 1 class, all classes or as many as you like. At checkout, use the payment option for students. $9 per class or $70 for a 10 pack.
